On the first of May as I looking north to the well houses that protect the grounds well, I can see the fresh growth of green grass.

On May 1st when I look southeast toward the Dartmouth Skiway, I can see just a bit of snow along the edges of the trails and lots of fresh green grass in the fields.

Last week, Carlton and his son Peter put the Acorn Hill Farm sign at the corner where Franklin Hill Road intersects Citadel Lane. The sign was a gift to me from the guys who worked on my renovation project.

The new weather station, a Christmas gift from Janine's brother, is now permanently perched upon the roof of the little guest house.

A snowless view to the east during a cloudy February day.

The southern boundary of the property is defined by Grant Brook. About a half mile down the hill from the house is Tannery Falls, where water spills over waterworn granite boulders on its way to the Connecticut River. This picture was taken in April when, because of the spring run off, Grant Brook was running nearly full.

Looking west beyond the apple tree that is beginning to bud across the field covered with a stubble of short green grass.

Looking west down Citadel Lane. The mud is gone and the fields are greening.
